Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Ministry

Luther Seminary offers this M.A. concentration, which focuses on education for ministry in critical contexts where cross-cultural knowledge and skills are essential for effective leadership. More specifically, this program prepares persons to work in ministries or congregations that require special training in assessing and responding to contexts and cultures which are unfamiliar or different from one’s formative culture.

Ministry skills are taught which assist a person in serving in a changing neighborhood or where a ministry is situated in the midst of a multi-cultural community. Rural, urban, and suburban contexts are included in the focus of this concentration. Preparation for ministry in international cultural settings is also included.

Interested students will find course information on the Luther Seminary web site's M.A. programs pages or in the online Luther Seminary Catalog.
